Boasting the latest technology, yet full of classic character, this 1,200 cc engine packs 103.5 HP (105 PS) peak power at 7,750 rpm, with instant response thanks to its rich torque delivery peaking at 82.6 LB-FT (112 Nm) at 4,250 rpm. And with a deep and distinctive Bonneville soundtrack from the twin ‘megaphone’ silencers, it comes along with an unmistakable sound.

Lightning fast, seamless up-and-down gear changes can be executed without pulling the clutch lever – the Speed Twin 1200 RS is the first Bonneville Twin to be fitted with Triumph Shift Assist. And, because it’s a Triumph Modern Classic, it’s sensitively incorporated so it doesn’t spoil the clean look. In addition to Road and Rain riding modes, the RS adds ‘Sport’ mode for an even more visceral riding experience. Sharpening the throttle response and increasing the threshold at which the lean—sensitive optimized ABS and traction control respond to wheel slip; this mode allows the dynamic performance to be confidently exploited.
